Bride of Christ vs Body of Christ – Two Beautiful Images | KJV

The Body speaks of union, organic connection, and shared life. The Bride speaks of love, covenant, and eternal intimacy. Week 4 · Day 25-3 · 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.” — Ephesians 5:25-26 KJV Ephesians 5:25-27 contains the most profound marriage illustration in all of Scripture — but its primary subject is not marriage. Its primary subject is Christ's love for the Church, and marriage is the illustration, not the point. Paul's instruction to husbands — 'love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church' — sets an impossible standard by human measurement and then explains what that standard looks like in practice.
