Second Corinthians 5:7 is among the most compact and comprehensive statements in all of Paul's writings, and its implications touch every dimension of daily living. The word 'walk' in Paul's usage describes the pattern of daily life — the ongoing conduct, the habitual orientation, the direction of the whole person through time. We do not merely believe by faith or hope by faith; we walk by faith — meaning faith is the atmosphere and method of the entire Christian life, not just selected spiritual moments.
