Week 2 · Day 12-1 · 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV “Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead.” — Romans 7:4 KJV Death breaks the Law's hold. A widow is freed from the law of her husband by his death. Paul applies the same principle: we died with Christ — Galatians 2:20 — and that death severed our legal relationship to the Law. We are no longer married to the Law. We are married to the risen Christ. ✂ Right Division The purpose of this new marriage: that we should bring forth fruit unto God. Not the fruit of legal compliance under threat of condemnation, but the fruit of a loving relationship with the risen Christ. But grace now reigns — as a sovereign, producing eternal life through righteousness. Grace reigns through righteousness — not despite it. Grace meets God's standard fully in Christ. ✂ Right Division Romans 5:20 — where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. Grace does not merely equal sin's power — it superabounds .
