예언과 비유의 목적
믿게 하려 함이라
"모든 성경은 하나님의 감동으로 된 것으로 교훈과 책망과 바르게 함과 의로 교육하기에 유익하니"
디모데후서 3:16 · 2 Timothy 3:16하나님께서는 예언과 비유를 통해 미래의 일을 미리 알려 주십니다. 그 목적은 단 하나, 그 일이 이루어질 때에 우리가 믿게 하려 함입니다. 아래 열 개의 성경 구절은 이 진리를 증거합니다.

옛적의 이전 일들을 기억하라. 나는 하나님이요 나 외에 다른 이가 없나니 나는 하나님이라. 나와 같은 이가 없는니다. 내가 처음부터 끝을 밝히 알리며 아직 이루어지지 아니한 일들을 옛적부터 밝히 알리고 이르기를, 나의 계획이 설 터이니 내가 나의 기뻐하는 일을 모두 행하리라 하였노라.

All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

예수님께서 이 모든 것을 무리에게 비유로 말씀하시고 비유가 없이는 그들에게 말씀하지 아니하셨으니 이것은 대언자를 통해서 말씀하신 것을 성취하려 하심이라. 이르셨으되, 내가 입을 열어 비유들로 말할 것이요. 세상의 기초가 놓인 때부터 은밀히 간직되어 온 것들을 분명히 밝히리라 하였느니라.

그분께서 그들에게 이르시되, 하나님의 왕국의 신비를 아는 것이 너희에게는 허락되었으나 밖에 있는 자들에게는 이 모든 것이 비유로 행해지나니 이것은 그들이 보기는 보아도 알지 못하며 듣기는 들어도 깨닫지 못하여 하사 언제라도 그들이 회심하여 죄들을 용서받지 못하게 하려 함이라 하시고.

예수 그리스도의 계시라. 이것은 하나님께서 반드시 곧 일어나야 할 일들을 자신의 종들에게 보여 주시려고 그분께 주신 것이라. 그분께서 자신의 천사를 자신의 종 요한에게로 보내사 그것을 표적으로 보여 주시니 요한이 하나님의 말씀과 예수 그리스도의 증언 곧 자기 본 모든 것에 대한 기록이니라. 이 대언의 말씀들을 읽는 자와 듣는 자들 그리고 그 안에 기록된 것들을 지키는 자들 복이 있나니 이는 때가 가깝기 때문이라.

And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

그러므로 내가 그들에게 비유로 말하나니 이는 그들이 보아도 보지 못하며 들어도 듣지 못하고 깨닫지 못하기 때문이니라. 이사야의 대언이 그들에게 성취되었으니 이르기를, 너희가 듣기는 들어도 깨닫지 못할 것이요. 보기는 보아도 알지 못하리로다. 이 백성들의 마음이 둔하여지고 그 귀는 듣기에 둔하며 그들의 눈을 감았으니 이것은 그들로 눈으로 보고 귀로 듣고 마음으로 깨달아 회심하지 않게 하여 내가 그들을 고쳐 줄까 염려함이라.
