1 Corinthians 15:1-4 – The Gospel That Saves You Today | KJV

Week 1 · Day 5-4 · 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV

“How that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”

— 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV

Here is the Gospel — concise, clear, complete. Four facts: Christ died. For our sins. He was buried. He rose the third day. All according to the Scriptures. This is what Paul received by revelation and delivered to the Corinthians — and to us.

✂ Right Division

Notice what is absent from the Gospel definition: no water baptism, no law-keeping, no tongues, no sacraments. Just the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ — received by faith. This is the Grace Gospel for the Church age.

✦ Application

The Gospel is four facts and one response — faith. Have you believed this Gospel? That is all that is required. If you have, your salvation is as certain as the historical resurrection of Jesus Christ.

1 Matthew 13:10–11 KJV And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. 2 John 14:29 KJV And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. 3 Isaiah 46:9–10 KJV Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there...

Dead to the Law – Married to the Risen Christ | Romans 7:4 KJV

Week 2 · Day 12-1 · 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV “Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead.” — Romans 7:4 KJV Death breaks the Law's hold. A widow is freed from the law of her husband by his death. Paul applies the same principle: we died with Christ — Galatians 2:20 — and that death severed our legal relationship to the Law. We are no longer married to the Law. We are married to the risen Christ. ✂ Right Division The purpose of this new marriage: that we should bring forth fruit unto God. Not the fruit of legal compliance under threat of condemnation, but the fruit of a loving relationship with the risen Christ. The Spirit produces this fruit naturally — Galatians 5:22-23. ✦ Application You are not married to the Law. You are united to the risen Christ. Let that relationship produce fruit in your life — naturally, freely, joyfu...
