Acts 7 – Stephen and the Great Dispensational Transition | KJV
“But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God.”
— Acts 7:55 KJVJesus is standing. After His ascension, Christ is always seated at the Father's right hand — Hebrews 10:12. But at Stephen's martyrdom, He stands. As if rising to welcome this faithful witness — and to mark a turning point in dispensational history.
Israel's religious leadership heard Stephen's complete review of their history and rejected it with violence. Saul of Tarsus watched. Within chapters, Saul becomes Paul. The transition from Israel's Kingdom program to the mystery of the Body of Christ is now fully underway.
God's plan was never in danger. Stephen's death looked like defeat but was the hinge of a new age. Whatever looks like defeat in your life may be the hinge of God's next great movement. Trust His sovereignty absolutely.
