Dietary Laws – Clean and Unclean Foods Set Aside | Acts 10:15 KJV
“And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.”
— Acts 10:15 KJVGod gave Israel dietary laws in Leviticus 11 — clean and unclean foods — as part of the Mosaic covenant that distinguished Israel from the nations. These served a dispensational purpose. In Acts 10, God showed Peter unclean animals and commanded him to eat.
The primary lesson was about Gentiles being received — verse 28. But it also signals the end of food law distinctions. 1 Timothy 4:4-5 — every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving.
You are free from dietary laws. Eat with thanksgiving. Honor God with your body through wise choices — but not by imposing Levitical food categories that have been graciously set aside in this age of grace.
