Healing in the Kingdom vs the Age of Grace | KJV Right Division
“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”
— 2 Corinthians 12:9 KJVDuring Jesus's ministry, healing was universal and immediate — every sickness healed, every disease cured. This demonstrated Kingdom power — Isaiah 35 prophesied these exact signs. But in Paul's later epistles, the pattern shifts dramatically, revealing dispensational development.
Paul left Trophimus sick, gave Timothy medical advice, and watched Epaphroditus nearly die. By the end of his ministry, Paul's emphasis shifted from Kingdom signs to sufficiency of Christ in suffering. My grace is sufficient — that is the grace-age promise.
God still heals sovereignly and miraculously. But we do not have a guaranteed healing covenant in this age. Our promise is: in health or illness, His grace is sufficient. His strength is perfected in your weakness.
