John 3:16 – The Most Loved Verse in Dispensational Context | KJV

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

— John 3:16 KJV

John 3:16 is the most beloved verse in Scripture — and it is absolutely, eternally true. But what did believeth mean when Jesus spoke it to Nicodemus before the cross, before the resurrection, before Paul's revelation of the full mystery?

✂ Right Division

The object of saving faith has always been Christ. But the full content of the Gospel — death, burial, resurrection — was not yet accomplished or revealed. Today we believe the completed Gospel of 1 Corinthians 15, which expands John 3:16 into its fullest expression.

✦ Application

God so loved you. That love is now revealed in all its fullness through the cross, the empty tomb, and the risen Christ. Believe in Him wholly, as Paul reveals Him fully.
