Kingdom Parables – Earthly Kingdom or Heavenly Mystery? | Matthew 13 KJV
“The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field.”
— Matthew 13:31 KJVThe parables of Matthew 13 describe the Kingdom of Heaven during the King's absence — the mustard seed growing mixed with the world, the wheat and tares together, the treasure hidden in the field. These are Kingdom truth — describing the world during the current age from Israel's prophetic perspective.
These parables are not Church truth — they are Kingdom truth. The Church is not the Kingdom. The Kingdom will be literal, visible, and glorious at the Second Coming. Right now the Kingdom exists in mystery form — the King is away, but returning.
Read the Kingdom parables through dispensational eyes — they reveal the mixed condition of the current age and the certainty of the coming Kingdom. The treasure is worth everything. The King is coming for it.
