Paul's Prison Epistles – The Peak of Mystery Revelation | KJV
“For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles.”
— Ephesians 3:1 KJVFrom a Roman prison cell, Paul wrote four letters — Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, Philemon — that represent the highest, fullest revelation of the mystery of the Body of Christ in all of Scripture. Chained physically, he was never more spiritually free or doctrinally elevated.
Ephesians: your position — every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. Philippians: your practice — rejoice, the mind of Christ, citizenship in heaven. Colossians: your preeminence — Christ in you the hope of glory, Christ who is all. Philemon: a parable of grace in action.
Set aside time this week to read one prison epistle slowly. Let the mystery of your position in Christ wash over you. You are seated with Him in heavenly places — Ephesians 2:6. That is your reality right now, as you read these words.
