Post #114: The Transformed Life Under Grace | KJV Right Division (Week 5)
Post 114 · Day 29-2: Ephesians 4:22-24 – Putting off the Old Man
"That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." — Ephesians 4:22-24 (KJV)
Who? The Body of Christ — believers already seated in heavenly places (Eph 1-3).
Dispensation: Grace Age — sanctification is cooperative, not coercive.
Key Doctrine: Positional (new man in Christ) must be practiced daily.

Paul distinguishes between the "old man" (our pre-salvation nature in Adam) and the "new man" (our new nature in Christ). Positionally, the old man is already crucified (Rom 6:6); practically, we must reckon it so and put on the new man. This is not reformation of the flesh but replacement — a daily, Spirit-empowered choice grounded in our identity in Christ.
Application: Identify one "old man" habit this week — an attitude, speech pattern, or behavior rooted in your pre-salvation life. Confess it, reckon it dead by faith, and consciously replace it with the corresponding "new man" virtue from Ephesians 4:25-32.

Prayer: Father, remind us daily of who we are in Christ. Help us to put off the old and put on the new with Your strength, not our own. Amen.
