Post #130: Meditating on Paul's Epistles Daily | KJV Right Division (Week 5)
Post 130 · Day 34-3: Ephesians 4:25-32 – Practical Christian Living
"Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another... Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." — Ephesians 4:25,31-32 (KJV)
Who? The Body of Christ — community ethics in the Grace Age.
Dispensation: Grace Age — the motivation for ethical living is our shared identity "in Christ."
Key Foundation: "Even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you" — grace received must be grace extended.

Ephesians 4 gives the most concrete practical ethics in all of Paul's letters. Truth-telling, anger management, honest labor, edifying speech, kindness, tenderheartedness, forgiveness — each flows from the new identity established in verses 22-24. The reason for all ethical behavior is relational and theological: we are members of one another, and God has forgiven us in Christ.
Application: Choose one virtue from verses 25-32 to actively cultivate today. If truth-telling is your struggle — commit to one day of radical honesty. If forgiveness is the challenge — write a note of forgiveness to someone (you need not send it, but write it).

Prayer: Lord, let Your grace flow through us into our relationships — in truth, in kindness, in the forgiveness You have freely given us. Amen.
