Post #146: Great White Throne Judgment | KJV Right Division (Week 6)

Post 146 · Day 37-3: The Great White Throne Judgment

"And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened." — Revelation 20:11-12 (KJV)
Who? The unsaved dead of all ages — not believers (they have already been evaluated at the Bema).
When? After the Millennium, before the Eternal State (Rev 20:11-15).
Outcome: The lake of fire — the second death.

The Great White Throne is the most solemn scene in all of Scripture. Every unsaved person from every age stands before the omniscient Judge. The "books" (records of deeds) are opened, and the "Book of Life" is checked. No name found in the Book of Life means the lake of fire. This is not annihilation — it is conscious, eternal separation from God. Degrees of punishment exist (v. 12 — "according to their works") but all judgment results in the same destination.

Application: Let this sobering reality drive your evangelism. Someone you know today — unsaved — faces this judgment. Pray for them, witness to them, love them urgently. The door of grace is open now; it will not always be.

Prayer: Lord, let the reality of the Great White Throne fill us with holy urgency to reach the lost while it is still called today. Amen.
