Post #152: The Man of Sin Revealed | KJV Right Division (Week 6)
Post 152 · Day 39-3: The Man of Sin Revealed
"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God." — 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 (KJV)
Who? The Antichrist — future world ruler revealed after the Rapture during the Tribulation.
Dispensation: Tribulation — not present in the Grace Age (though his spirit is, 1 John 4:3).
Key Acts: Reveals himself in the rebuilt temple at the midpoint of the Tribulation (the "Abomination of Desolation," Matt 24:15).

The "man of sin" is a literal, future individual — not a system or a symbol. He will rise to world power, make a 7-year covenant with Israel (Dan 9:27), break it at the midpoint, declare himself God in the Temple, and be destroyed at Christ's Second Coming (2 Thess 2:8). The Church Age believer will not witness his full revelation — we will be raptured before his unveiling. But understanding him protects us from deception by his spirit today.
Application: Understand that any teaching or system that exalts man above God, denies Christ, or demands worship other than God's bears the spirit of antichrist. Test every spirit (1 John 4:1).

Prayer: Lord, keep us discerning and sober. Let no deception of the enemy find lodging in our hearts. Amen.
