Post #154: The Blessed Hope vs Earthly Hope | KJV Right Division (Week 6)
Post 154 · Day 40-2: The Blessed Hope vs Earthly Hope
"Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ." — Titus 2:13 (KJV)
Church's Hope: The Rapture — "the blessed hope," upward and heavenward.
Israel's Hope: The Kingdom on earth — the Messiah reigning from Jerusalem.
Both Are Valid: They are different hopes for different peoples, both fulfilled by the same returning Jesus.

The "blessed hope" is unique to the Grace Age Church — a heavenly hope, not an earthly one. Israel's prophets spoke of a coming Kingdom on earth. Paul reveals a new hope: caught up to meet the Lord in the air. These are not contradictions but complementary truths for different peoples. The Church will reign with Christ over the earth — but our primary citizenship and hope is heavenly (Phil 3:20). Let this hope purify you (1 John 3:3).
Application: What would change in your daily life if you genuinely believed the Rapture could happen today? Make that change now. Let the blessed hope shape your priorities, relationships, and investments.
