Post 161 · Day 42-3: Eternal State – New Heavens and Earth

"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea." — Revelation 21:1 (KJV)

Timing: After the Millennium and Great White Throne — the final, permanent eternal state.
Character: Renewed/remade, not annihilated — 2 Pet 3:10-13 describes purifying by fire, not destruction.
Inhabitants: God and His people — no more sin, death, sorrow, or pain (Rev 21:3-4).

The eternal state is not a disembodied existence in a misty cloud — it is a renewed physical universe purified of all corruption. The New Earth will be gloriously physical — rivers, trees, cities (Rev 22). The New Jerusalem descends to the New Earth. God Himself tabernacles with His people (Rev 21:3). Eternity is not escape from creation but the consummation of it — everything God intended in Eden, restored and transcended.

Application: Read Revelation 21-22 as your eternal address. Let the reality of a renewed physical creation cure any ethereal or gnostic concepts of heaven. Your future is glorious, embodied, and real.
