Post 169 · Day 43-1: Once Saved Always Saved vs Falling Away

"And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." — John 10:28 (KJV)
Common Error: Teaching that a born-again believer can lose their salvation through sin or unfaithfulness, citing Hebrews 6 and Hebrews 10.
Right Division Correction: Hebrews 6 and 10 address Hebrew believers in a transitional context — those who had received much light but returned to the Mosaic system. Pauline Grace Age epistles are unmistakably clear: the sealed believer (Eph 1:13), the kept believer (Phil 1:6), and the eternally secured believer (Rom 8:38-39) cannot lose what God Himself guarantees. The Greek "shall never perish" (John 10:28) is a double negative — the strongest possible negation in Greek: ou mฤ“.

Salvation in the Grace Age is not a probationary status — it is a new birth. A child can grieve a parent, but cannot become unborn. The security of the believer rests not on our grip on God but on God's grip on us. "He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Phil 1:6). The Seal of the Holy Spirit (Eph 1:13-14) is God's signature guarantee — and God does not revoke His own seal.

Prayer: Father, thank You that my salvation rests in Your omnipotent grip, not my failing grasp. Nothing can pluck me from Your hand. Amen.
