Post #183: Calvinism's TULIP Examined | KJV Right Division (Week 7)
Post 183 · Day 47-3: Praying to Saints?
"Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus... Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace." — Hebrews 10:19, 4:16 (KJV)
Catholic Error: Teaching that believers should pray to departed saints as intercessors — that they hear prayers and mediate them to God.
Right Division Correction: No biblical passage authorizes or encourages prayer to the dead. The Old Testament forbids communication with the dead (Deut 18:10-12). The Grace Age believer has direct access to God through Christ (Heb 4:16, Eph 2:18) — no human or angelic intermediary is needed or permitted (Col 2:18). Departed saints are "asleep" in Christ (1 Thess 4:13-14), not receiving or relaying earthly prayers.
Praying to saints reflects a failure to grasp the stunning access that Grace Age believers have. You — right now, wherever you are — can go directly into the presence of the Creator of the universe through Christ. No waiting room, no intermediary, no special saint required. "Come boldly" is the invitation. To go to anyone else is to bypass the one door Christ opened with His own blood.

Prayer: Father, thank You for the direct access Christ purchased for us. We come boldly — not through any saint, but through Your Son. Amen.
