Post #186: Legalism in the Church Age | KJV Right Division (Week 7)
Post 186 · Day 48-3: Calvinism vs Arminianism Rightly Divided
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." — Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV)
Calvinism (TULIP): Total Depravity ✓, Unconditional Election (partially ✓), Limited Atonement ✗, Irresistible Grace (partially ✓), Perseverance of the Saints (✓ — but differently understood in Grace).
Arminianism: Resistible grace ✓, Universal atonement ✓, but falls short on eternal security.
Arminianism: Resistible grace ✓, Universal atonement ✓, but falls short on eternal security.
Rightly divided: total depravity is clearly taught (Rom 3:10-12). Christ died for all (1 Tim 2:6, 1 John 2:2) — atonement is unlimited in provision. The Gospel is genuinely offered to all (Rev 22:17 — "whosoever will"). Those who believe are eternally secured (Eph 1:13-14). The Grace Age Gospel does not fit neatly into either system — it is simpler and more glorious: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved."

Prayer: Lord, we simply believe. Thank You for a Gospel so clear it needs no theological system to complete it. Amen.
