Post #188: Preterism – Is Revelation Already Fulfilled? | KJV Right Division (Week 7)

Post 188 · Day 49-2: Hyper-Gracism Dangers

"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid." — Romans 6:1-2 (KJV)
Hyper-Grace Error: Teaching that because believers are under grace, confession of sin is unnecessary, past/present/future sins are automatically forgiven, and no behavioral standard applies to Grace Age believers.
Correction: Grace is not a moral blank check. Paul's own teaching maintains standards of holy living (Titus 2:11-12 — grace "teaches us to deny ungodliness"). Eternal security does not eliminate the Bema (2 Cor 5:10). Ongoing fellowship requires ongoing confession (1 John 1:9 principle). Grace liberates from law's condemnation; it does not license fleshly indulgence.

Hyper-grace is the overcorrection to legalism — it throws out standards with the shackles. Paul anticipated this error and preemptively answered it: "God forbid" (Romans 6:1-2). Grace does not produce lawlessness; the Spirit produces righteousness. The Grace Age believer lives not by law but by a higher motivation — love for Christ and gratitude for grace that transforms the heart and produces holiness from the inside out.

Prayer: Lord, let grace not be an excuse but an empowerment — producing in us the righteousness that law could only demand. Amen.
