Post #192: New Apostolic Reformation Examined | KJV Right Division (Week 7)

Post 192 · Day 49-6: Preterism vs Futurism

"Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him." — Revelation 1:7 (KJV)
Preterism's Error: Teaching that most or all prophecy was fulfilled in AD 70 at the destruction of Jerusalem — making Revelation and Daniel's 70th week past events, not future.
Futurist Correction: "Every eye shall see him" — AD 70 did not produce a visible return of Christ. "All Israel shall be saved" (Rom 11:26) has not occurred. The Antichrist, Great Tribulation, Millennial Kingdom, and New Heaven/Earth are plainly unfulfilled. Futurism takes Bible prophecy at face value.

Preterism is a convenient escape from the discomfort of unfulfilled prophecy — but it requires wholesale reinterpretation of plain literal language. The Tribulation has not occurred at the intensity Revelation describes. Christ has not set foot on the Mount of Olives (Zech 14:4). Israel has not been nationally saved (Rom 11:26). Futurist, premillennial dispensationalism is the only system that takes every prophetic detail seriously without requiring allegory.

Prayer: Lord, Your Word says what it means and means what it says. Let us never trade literal truth for allegorical comfort. Amen.
