Post #194: The Hebrew Roots Movement | KJV Right Division (Week 7)

Post 194 · Day 49-8: Postmillennialism Overview

"Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever." — Isaiah 9:7 (KJV)
Postmillennialism: The Church will Christianize the world through Gospel influence, bringing in a golden age — after which Christ returns. Christ returns after the Millennium.
Problems: World is getting worse, not better (2 Tim 3:13). The NT pattern is a remnant church, not a majority. The Rapture and Tribulation precede Christ's return, not follow a Christianized age.

Postmillennialism's optimism about human progress through Gospel influence is attractive — but the NT consistently describes the world as "waxing worse and worse" (2 Tim 3:13) and the end-time church as apostate (2 Thess 2:3). The correct posture is faithfulness in a darkening world, not triumphalism about Christianizing it. The Kingdom comes when the King arrives — not before.

Prayer: Lord, keep us faithful in the darkness, shining as lights. The Kingdom comes when You come. Until then, we hold forth the Word of life. Amen.
