Post #206: Stewardship of Time and Gifts | KJV Right Division (Week 8)
Post 206 · Day 53-1: Suffering Well as a Believer
"For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing." — 1 Peter 3:17 (KJV)
Grace Age Suffering: Not a sign of God's displeasure — often the mark of His favor (Phil 1:29).
Purpose: Conformity to Christ (Rom 8:29), expanded ministry (2 Cor 4:17), Gospel demonstration (Phil 1:12-14), eternal weight of glory (2 Cor 4:17).

Paul "learned" contentment (Phil 4:11) — implying it came through experience, not intuition. Suffering teaches what comfort cannot. The most fruitful seasons in Church history have often been the most difficult. Paul's chains advanced the Gospel further than his freedom might have (Phil 1:12-14). In Grace Age suffering, the proper posture is trust, not protest — "for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content."
Application: Name one current hardship in your life. Write down two ways God might use it for conformity to Christ, expansion of ministry, or Gospel witness. Ask Him to redeem this suffering for His purposes.

Prayer: Lord, in every suffering, teach us what comfort cannot. Use our pain for Your glory and our transformation. Amen.
