Post #209: Forgiveness – Releasing Others in Grace | KJV Right Division (Week 8)
Post 209 · Day 54-1: Unity Without Compromise
"Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit... One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all." — Ephesians 4:3-6 (KJV)
Unity to Preserve: The Spirit's unity — already existing, to be maintained, not manufactured.
Unity to Reject: Doctrinal compromise that sacrifices truth for the appearance of harmony.
Balance: "Endeavouring" implies effort — unity requires active, humble pursuit within the bounds of truth.

True Christian unity is not organizational uniformity or doctrinal minimalism — it is the shared bond of the Spirit in those who hold "one Lord, one faith, one baptism." We should pursue unity with all who name Christ genuinely and hold the foundational truths of the Gospel. But unity with those who preach "another gospel" (Gal 1:8-9) is not unity — it is compromise. Unity without doctrinal foundation is not peace; it is the peace of the graveyard.
Application: Identify whether any relational conflict in your church is over genuine doctrine or personal preference. Pursue peace aggressively in the latter; hold firm graciously in the former.

Prayer: Lord, let us be united where Your Word unites us and separate where Your Word separates us — always in love, never in compromise. Amen.
