Post #213: How to Study the Bible – Grace Age Method | KJV Right Division (Week 8)
Post 213 · Day 55-2: Prayer That Moves God
"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." — James 5:16 (KJV)
Effectual: Greek energeo — energized, Spirit-empowered.
Fervent: Not loud volume but deep sincerity and persistent faith.
Righteous: Not perfect, but justified by faith and walking in fellowship with God.
Fervent: Not loud volume but deep sincerity and persistent faith.
Righteous: Not perfect, but justified by faith and walking in fellowship with God.
Prayer that moves God is not the prayer of perfect people but of righteous people — those who have been justified by faith and are walking with God. The example James gives is Elijah — a man "subject to like passions as we are" (v. 17) who prayed with effective results. Grace Age prayer is bold (Heb 4:16), specific (Phil 4:6), persistent (Luke 18:1), thankful (Col 4:2), and faith-filled (Mark 11:24 — noting the Kingdom context, but the principle reflects God's character).
Application: Keep a prayer journal for 30 days — specific requests with dates. Review at the end of the month. Watch what God has done in response to effectual, fervent prayer. Let the evidence build your faith for the next month.

Prayer: Lord, make our prayers effectual and fervent — not performative, but Spirit-powered. Move in response to the righteous cry of Your people. Amen.
