Post #221: The Christian's Hope – Looking Up | KJV Right Division (Week 8)
Post 221 · Day 56-6: The Local Church in Grace
"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." — Hebrews 10:25 (KJV)
Local Church Role: The primary vehicle for discipleship, worship, mutual care, proclamation, and spiritual growth in the Grace Age.
Urgency: "As ye see the day approaching" — nearness to Christ's return should intensify, not diminish, our commitment to the local assembly.
Urgency: "As ye see the day approaching" — nearness to Christ's return should intensify, not diminish, our commitment to the local assembly.
The local church is not optional for the Grace Age believer — it is the Body made visible in a specific place. Every believer needs accountability, teaching, community, and corporate worship that only a committed local assembly provides. The trend toward "I can worship at home" or "I watch a live stream" substitutes individualism for community. The New Testament knows nothing of a Christian detached from a local, gathered body of believers.
Application: Are you committed to a local church — not just attending, but contributing? If not, begin praying for God's guidance to find one. If you are — deepen your commitment: serve, give, pray, and show up consistently.
