Post #236: All Things to All Men | KJV Right Division (Week 9)

Post 236 · Day 57-4: 1 Corinthians 9:22 – All Things to All Men

Who This Is For: Grace-age believers in the Body of Christ seeking to understand and live Paul's Gospel rightly divided.
“I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.” — 1 Corinthians 9:22 KJV

Paul's flexibility was not compromise — it was contextualization in service of an unchanging Gospel. He became weak to the weak, a Jew to Jews, under law to those under law — not because he changed his message, but because he adapted his manner to connect with each person's frame of reference.

Right Division: Right Division: Paul's principle is grace-age evangelism at its finest. He never changed the Gospel — Christ crucified for sins (1 Corinthians 2:2). But he changed his approach. To the philosophical Greeks he quoted their own poets (Acts 17:28). To Jews he opened the scriptures. To Gentiles he preached the living God who made all things. This is missional wisdom: fixed message, flexible method.

Application: Identify someone in your life who needs the Gospel. Ask God how to communicate it in a way that speaks to their specific situation — their fears, their worldview, their background. The message never changes; your approach can.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your Word rightly divided. Help us to study, understand, and live what You have revealed through the Apostle Paul for this age of grace. Give us boldness to share and faithfulness to guard what has been committed to our trust. In Christ's name. Amen.
