Post #237: The Ministry of Reconciliation | KJV Right Division (Week 9)

Post 237 · Day 58-1: 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 – The Ministry of Reconciliation

Who This Is For: Grace-age believers in the Body of Christ seeking to understand and live Paul's Gospel rightly divided.
“And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.” — 2 Corinthians 5:18 KJV

God reconciled the world to Himself through Christ and then entrusted the message of that reconciliation to believers. We do not create reconciliation — it is already accomplished. We proclaim it. We are ambassadors of a completed work.

Right Division: Right Division: Verse 19 says God was 'not imputing their trespasses unto them' — this is the grace-age message. In the Kingdom program, sins were held on account pending the Day of Atonement and the work of the cross. In the grace age, the trespasses are already not imputed. The ministry of reconciliation is announcing what God has already done, not calling people to a process of earning God's favor.

Application: Write out 2 Corinthians 5:18-21 and meditate on it this week. You are an ambassador. Ambassadors do not negotiate the terms of the treaty — they represent the One who already signed it. Go to someone today and be an ambassador of reconciliation.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your Word rightly divided. Help us to study, understand, and live what You have revealed through the Apostle Paul for this age of grace. Give us boldness to share and faithfulness to guard what has been committed to our trust. In Christ's name. Amen.
