Post #241: How Shall They Hear Without a Preacher? | KJV Right Division (Week 9)
Post 241 · Day 59-1: Romans 10:13-15 – How Shall They Hear Without a Preacher?
Who This Is For: Grace-age believers in the Body of Christ seeking to understand and live Paul's Gospel rightly divided.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?” — Romans 10:13-15 KJV
Paul constructs a chain of necessity: saved → must call → must believe → must hear → must have a preacher → must be sent. The logic is inescapable. Every link in that chain leads back to the one who sends — and ultimately to God, who sent Paul, and through Paul sends us.
Right Division: Right Division: Romans 10 addresses Israel's unbelief, but the principle applies universally in the grace age: faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (verse 17). This is not signs, wonders, or visions — it is the spoken and written Word. Grace-age evangelism is Word-centered. The preacher who proclaims the Gospel fulfills the chain that leads to salvation.
Application: Identify one person this week who has not heard the Gospel clearly. You are the preacher in their chain. Pray for an open door, then step through it. Beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Gospel of peace (verse 15).
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your Word rightly divided. Help us to study, understand, and live what You have revealed through the Apostle Paul for this age of grace. Give us boldness to share and faithfulness to guard what has been committed to our trust. In Christ's name. Amen.
