Post #249: Faithful Men Who Shall Teach Others | KJV Right Division (Week 9)
Post 249 · Day 61-1: 2 Timothy 2:2 – Faithful Men Who Shall Teach Others
Who This Is For: Grace-age believers in the Body of Christ seeking to understand and live Paul's Gospel rightly divided.
“And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” — 2 Timothy 2:2 KJV
The multiplication principle: Paul → Timothy → faithful men → others. Four generations of transmission in one verse. Paul's concern is not just that Timothy knows the truth but that Timothy passes it to people who can pass it further. The measure of a minister is not the size of his platform but the faithfulness of his disciples.
Right Division: Right Division: Notice what is transmitted: the things heard from Paul. Not Peter's teaching, not the Old Testament Law, not the Sermon on the Mount — what Timothy heard from Paul, the grace-age apostle. This defines what the grace-age church transmits: Paul's doctrine. Sound words (2 Timothy 1:13). The pattern of teaching (Romans 6:17). Right division determines what gets passed down.
Application: Who are the faithful people in your life to whom you are committing Paul's truth? You do not need a pulpit — you need one faithful person. Identify them this week and commit to one structured conversation about grace-age doctrine.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your Word rightly divided. Help us to study, understand, and live what You have revealed through the Apostle Paul for this age of grace. Give us boldness to share and faithfulness to guard what has been committed to our trust. In Christ's name. Amen.
