Post #25: How to Study the Bible Dispensationally | KJV Right Division (Week 1)
Post 25 · How to Study the Bible Dispensationally
"These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." — Acts 17:11 (KJV)
Who? The Bereans — Jews in Berea who combined receptive hearts with rigorous Scripture-checking of Paul's teaching.
Dispensation: Acts transition — but the Berean method (readiness + verification) is the model for all dispensational study.
Key: "Searched the scriptures daily" — sound dispensational study requires consistent, systematic, daily engagement with the whole Word.

Key: "Searched the scriptures daily" — sound dispensational study requires consistent, systematic, daily engagement with the whole Word.
Dispensational Bible study follows a method: (1) Observation — What does the text say exactly? (2) Identification — Who is the author? Who is the audience? What is the dispensational context? (3) Interpretation — What did it mean to the original audience? (4) Cross-reference — How does this connect with Paul's epistles for today's application? (5) Application — How does this truth shape my life as a Grace-Age believer? The Bereans didn't blindly accept Paul's teaching — they checked it. We should study the same way: open Bible, searching daily, willing to be corrected, building our understanding systematically.
Application: Apply the five-step method to a passage this week — try Galatians 3:1-14. Step through: (1) What does it say? (2) Who is speaking to whom? (3) What is the dispensational situation (Galatians reverting to law)? (4) Cross-reference Romans 4. (5) Application for you today. Write out each step.

Prayer: Lord, give us the Berean spirit — ready hearts that still search the Scriptures daily. Save us from both lazy acceptance and proud rejection. Make us students who rightly handle Your Word with joy. Amen.
