Post #254: Workers Together With Him | KJV Right Division (Week 9)
Post 254 · Day 62-2: 2 Corinthians 6:1-2 – Workers Together With Him
Who This Is For: Grace-age believers in the Body of Christ seeking to understand and live Paul's Gospel rightly divided.
“We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)” — 2 Corinthians 6:1-2 KJV
Workers together with God — the most staggering job description in the universe. The grace-age believer is not a spectator but a co-laborer with the God who created everything. And the urgency is real: now is the accepted time. The offer of grace is present-tense.
Right Division: Right Division: 'Now is the day of salvation' defines the grace age. In the Kingdom program, salvation had strong future-oriented elements — enduring to the end (Matthew 24:13), the Kingdom not yet established. In the grace age, salvation is complete at the moment of faith: 'ye are saved' (Ephesians 2:8). The day of salvation is now, not a future kingdom entry. This urgency belongs to the present dispensation.
Application: Do not receive the grace of God in vain — do not live as though the gift changes nothing. You are a worker together with God. Show up to work today: in your family, your workplace, your neighborhood. God is working; be found working with Him.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your Word rightly divided. Help us to study, understand, and live what You have revealed through the Apostle Paul for this age of grace. Give us boldness to share and faithfulness to guard what has been committed to our trust. In Christ's name. Amen.
