Post #255: Fellow Labourers in the Gospel | KJV Right Division (Week 9)

Post 255 · Day 62-3: Philippians 4:3 – Fellow Labourers in the Gospel

Who This Is For: Grace-age believers in the Body of Christ seeking to understand and live Paul's Gospel rightly divided.
“And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.” — Philippians 4:3 KJV

Paul's ministry was not a solo endeavor. He names specific co-laborers — women and men — whose names are in the book of life. The grace-age church is a team. No one is too insignificant to be named; those who labored in the Gospel are permanently recorded in God's book.

Right Division: Right Division: The grace-age Body of Christ is not hierarchical in the Mosaic sense — there is no Levitical priesthood, no gendered exclusion from Gospel labor. Euodia and Syntyche labored with Paul in the Gospel (verse 3). The body functions by every member doing their part (Ephesians 4:16). Women, men, prominent and obscure — all fellow-laborers, all recorded in the book of life.

Application: Thank a fellow-laborer today — someone who has partnered with you in the Gospel, even in small ways. And then find a conflict (like Euodia and Syntyche's) that you can help resolve in the Body. The unity of the Spirit is worth keeping (Ephesians 4:3).
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your Word rightly divided. Help us to study, understand, and live what You have revealed through the Apostle Paul for this age of grace. Give us boldness to share and faithfulness to guard what has been committed to our trust. In Christ's name. Amen.
