Post #258: Effective Faith Through Acknowledging Good | KJV Right Division (Week 9)
Post 258 · Day 63-2: Philemon 1:6 – Effective Faith Through Acknowledging Good
Who This Is For: Grace-age believers in the Body of Christ seeking to understand and live Paul's Gospel rightly divided.
“That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.” — Philemon 1:6 KJV
The effectiveness of sharing faith is tied to acknowledging what is already in you in Christ. Before you can communicate your faith effectively, you must know what you possess. The believer who knows their riches in Christ speaks with a confidence that the believer focused on their failures cannot.
Right Division: Right Division: 'Every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus' — this is the grace-age identity. In the Law system, the focus was on what you must do to maintain standing. In grace, the focus is on what you already have in Christ. You are blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places (Ephesians 1:3). Acknowledging these transforms your witness from duty to overflow.
Application: Make a list of every good thing in you in Christ Jesus. Draw from Ephesians 1:3-14, Colossians 1:12-14, Romans 8:28-39. Then share one of these with someone today — not as evangelism but as testimony. Let the abundance of what you have overflow in conversation.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your Word rightly divided. Help us to study, understand, and live what You have revealed through the Apostle Paul for this age of grace. Give us boldness to share and faithfulness to guard what has been committed to our trust. In Christ's name. Amen.
