Post #267: Great Tribulation Such as Never Was | KJV Right Division (Week 10)
Post 267 · Day 65-3: Matthew 24:21 – Great Tribulation Such as Never Was
“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” — Matthew 24:21 KJV
Jesus describes the Great Tribulation — the second half of Daniel's seventieth week — as unprecedented in human history. Nothing before or after will equal its intensity. This is Israel's darkest hour and the world's most catastrophic period — but it ends with the glorious return of the King.
Right Division: Right Division: Matthew 24 is Jesus speaking to His Jewish disciples about Israel's future — not to the Body of Christ. The question in verse 3 is about the sign of His coming and the end of the age from a Jewish prophetic perspective. The Olivet Discourse belongs to the Kingdom program: flee to the mountains (verse 16), pray your flight be not in winter or the Sabbath (verse 20) — these are instructions to Jewish believers in Israel during the Tribulation, not to the Body of Christ in the grace age. Context is everything.
