Post #28: Week 1 Review – Foundations Solidified | KJV Right Division (Week 1)
Post 28 · Week 1 Review – Foundations Solidified
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." — 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)
Who? You — the student completing Week 1 of a 12-week journey through rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
Dispensation: Grace Age — you now have the foundational framework to read every passage with dispensational clarity.
Key: Review: Dispensations, Israel vs. Church, Law vs. Grace, two gospels, the mystery, prophecy vs. mystery — all are tools, not just information.

Week 1 has established the essential grid for all sound Bible study. We've seen that: (1) God has dealt differently with mankind in different ages (dispensations), (2) Israel and the Church are distinct programs with distinct promises, (3) Law and Grace cannot be mixed without nullifying both, (4) Two gospels exist but only one saves today — Paul's gospel of grace, (5) The mystery of the Body of Christ was hidden from all previous ages and revealed through Paul alone, (6) Prophecy and mystery are parallel but distinct programs. These are not peripheral academic distinctions — they are the hermeneutical tools that unlock the entire Bible and protect us from the most common doctrinal errors in Christendom.
Application: Write a one-page summary of the seven foundational principles from Week 1 in your own words, as if explaining them to someone who has never heard of right division. Then identify the three principles that most challenge your previous understanding of Scripture and commit to studying them more deeply in the coming weeks.

Prayer: Father, we are grateful for these foundations. In a world where Your Word is often mishandled, give us the courage to study carefully, the humility to be corrected, and the joy of workmen approved. As we enter Week 2, deepen these foundations and build on them with grace. Amen.
