Post #320: Strong in the Lord and in the Power of His Might | KJV Right Division (Week 12)
Post 320 · Day 78-4: Ephesians 6:10-11 – Strong in the Lord and in the Power of His Might
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” — Ephesians 6:10-11 KJV
Paul's final imperative in Ephesians: be strong — not in yourself but in the Lord and in the power of His might. Then put on the whole armor of God for the spiritual battle. The strength is not self-generated; it is the Lord's strength appropriated by faith. The armor is not assembled by merit; it is received by grace.
Right Division: Right Division: The spiritual warfare in Ephesians 6 is the grace-age believer's context. The battle is not carnal but spiritual — against principalities and powers in heavenly places (verse 12). This is not the Old Testament's physical warfare against Canaan's nations but the grace-age engagement with unseen spiritual forces. The armor — truth, righteousness, Gospel of peace, faith, salvation, the Word of God, prayer — is all defensive-offensive spiritual equipment appropriate to the grace-age battle.
