Post #324: Present Sufferings Not Worth Comparing to Glory | KJV Right Division (Week 12)
Post 324 · Day 79-4: Romans 8:18 – Present Sufferings Not Worth Comparing to Glory
“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” — Romans 8:18 KJV
Paul reckons — he calculates, he does the math. Present sufferings on one side of the equation; future glory on the other. Conclusion: they are not in the same category. Not that suffering is small but that glory is infinitely larger. The calculation cannot be balanced — glory wins by an incomparable margin.
Right Division: Right Division: 'The glory which shall be revealed in us' — not just to us but in us. The Body of Christ will be the display of God's glory in the ages to come (Ephesians 2:7). Our glorified bodies, our co-heirship with Christ, our reign from heavenly places — these constitute a glory that no current suffering can match or diminish. Right division keeps this future glory in view, making present endurance rational rather than merely willful.
