Post #329: All Scripture Profitable for the Man of God | KJV Right Division (Week 12)
Post 329 · Day 81-1: 2 Timothy 3:16-17 – All Scripture Profitable for the Man of God
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” — 2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV
All Scripture is God-breathed — theopneustos, breathed out by God. Profitable in four ways: doctrine (what to believe), reproof (what to reject), correction (how to get back on track), instruction in righteousness (how to walk rightly). The result: the man of God complete, equipped for every good work.
Right Division: Right Division: 'All scripture' includes all 66 books — rightly divided. Not all Scripture is addressed to the grace-age believer directly, but all of it is profitable for our instruction. The key is right division: applying each part according to its audience, purpose, and dispensation. Paul's epistles are our direct instruction; the rest of Scripture is profitable background, prophecy, history, and wisdom that illuminates the whole counsel of God.
