Post #331: The Fruit of the Spirit | KJV Right Division (Week 12)
Post 331 · Day 81-3: Galatians 5:22-23 – The Fruit of the Spirit
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” — Galatians 5:22-23 KJV
The fruit of the Spirit is singular — one fruit with nine expressions. It is grown, not manufactured. The Spirit produces it; the believer maintains the soil. Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance — and against such there is no law, for law cannot produce what only the Spirit can grow.
Right Division: Right Division: 'Against such there is no law' is the grace-age declaration of freedom. The fruit of the Spirit supersedes law because it fulfills law's intent without law's external pressure. The Law demanded love; the Spirit produces it. The Law commanded righteousness; the Spirit grows it. In the grace age, the Spirit-filled life is the answer to the Law's requirements — not by abolishing the standard but by achieving it through an entirely different power source.
