Post #332: Walk Worthy of the Vocation | KJV Right Division (Week 12)

Post 332 · Day 81-4: Ephesians 4:1-3 – Walk Worthy of the Vocation

Who This Is For: Grace-age believers in the Body of Christ who desire to finish strong, endure faithfully, and hear "Well done" at the Judgment Seat of Christ.
“I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” — Ephesians 4:1-3 KJV

The worthy walk is defined by four graces: lowliness, meekness, longsuffering, forbearing one another in love. And its goal is Spirit-unity. The unity of the Spirit already exists — our job is to keep it. Not to create unity by organizing but to preserve unity already given.

Right Division: Right Division: The Body of Christ is already one — one body, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father (Ephesians 4:4-6). The unity is not achieved by ecumenical efforts but given by the Spirit and maintained by the worthy walk. The grace-age church's distinctiveness is this: a unity that transcends all human divisions, preserved by lowliness and meekness. This is the worthy walk's social expression.

Application: Is there a broken relationship in your church or community that is fracturing the unity of the Spirit? Ephesians 4:3 says endeavour — make the effort — to keep the bond of peace. Take one concrete step toward reconciliation today: a call, a note, a conversation, a prayer together. The unity is worth keeping.
Prayer: Lord, let us not be weary in well doing. Strengthen us by Your Spirit in the inner man. Let us run with patience the race set before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. Help us to finish strong — not by our strength but by Yours. In Christ's name. Amen.
