Post #340: For Me to Live Is Christ, to Die Is Gain | KJV Right Division (Week 12)

Post 340 · Day 83-4: Philippians 1:21 – For Me to Live Is Christ, to Die Is Gain

Who This Is For: Grace-age believers in the Body of Christ who desire to finish strong, endure faithfully, and hear "Well done" at the Judgment Seat of Christ.
“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” — Philippians 1:21 KJV

The most compressed statement of the grace-age life: to live is Christ. Not to live is comfort, success, reputation, or even ministry — it is Christ. And to die is gain, not loss, because death means immediate presence with Christ (verse 23). Life is Christ; death is more Christ. There is no losing scenario.

Right Division: Right Division: 'To die is gain' reflects the grace-age believer's immediate-presence hope. Under the Kingdom program, the dead sleep and await resurrection (Daniel 12:2). In the grace age, 'absent from the body, present with the Lord' (2 Corinthians 5:8) — the believer goes immediately into Christ's presence at death. This is the mystery's impact on eschatology: no soul-sleep for the Body of Christ, immediate glorification at death or transformation at the Rapture.

Application: Fill in the blank honestly: for me to live is ______. Is it Christ — or is it something else? Paul's declaration was the result of decades of learning contentment and suffering for Christ. You are on that same journey. Make this verse your prayer today: Lord, make it true of me — for me to live is Christ.
Prayer: Lord, let us not be weary in well doing. Strengthen us by Your Spirit in the inner man. Let us run with patience the race set before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. Help us to finish strong — not by our strength but by Yours. In Christ's name. Amen.
