Post #343: Even So, Come, Lord Jesus | KJV Right Division (Week 12)

Post 343 · Day 84-3: Revelation 22:20 – Even So, Come, Lord Jesus

Who This Is For: Grace-age believers in the Body of Christ who desire to finish strong, endure faithfully, and hear "Well done" at the Judgment Seat of Christ.
“He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” — Revelation 22:20 KJV

The last prayer of Scripture: 'Come, Lord Jesus.' The final word of the canon is a prayer for the return of Christ. John — the last surviving apostle, exiled on Patmos — expresses the posture of every true believer through the ages: come. Quickly. Yes, come.

Right Division: Right Division: 'Come quickly' applies to both programs: the Rapture removes the Body of Christ, and the Second Coming establishes Israel's Kingdom. Both are aspects of 'Come, Lord Jesus.' The grace-age believer cries Maranatha (1 Corinthians 16:22, 'our Lord come') — the Aramaic equivalent of Revelation 22:20. This prayer is the heartbeat of the grace-age believer: not comfortable in the world, longing for the Lord's presence, expectant for His return.

Application: Make Revelation 22:20 your last prayer tonight and your first prayer tomorrow morning: Even so, come, Lord Jesus. Let this prayer become the rhythm of your day. When trials hit: come, Lord Jesus. When the Gospel is rejected: come, Lord Jesus. When you are weary: come, Lord Jesus. Maranatha.
Prayer: Lord, let us not be weary in well doing. Strengthen us by Your Spirit in the inner man. Let us run with patience the race set before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. Help us to finish strong — not by our strength but by Yours. In Christ's name. Amen.
