Post #75: Passover, Pentecost, Tabernacles – Israel's Feasts | KJV Right Division (Week 3)
Post 75 · Israel's Two Sticks – National Reunification (Ezek 37:15-22)
"Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions: And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand." — Ezekiel 37:16-17 (KJV)
Who? God speaking to Ezekiel — prophesying the future reunification of divided Israel (northern kingdom Ephraim + southern kingdom Judah) into one nation.
Dispensation: Future Kingdom — the divided kingdoms of Israel have not yet been reunited; this awaits the Millennial gathering under Messiah.
Key: Two sticks = Judah (south) and Ephraim/Israel (north) — divided since 931 BC under Rehoboam; not yet reunited; awaiting Messianic fulfillment.

Israel divided into two kingdoms after Solomon: Judah in the south (Benjamin with Judah) and the northern kingdom (Israel/Ephraim, 10 tribes). The northern kingdom was deported to Assyria in 722 BC; many were lost to history. Ezekiel 37's two-stick prophecy promises their future reunification under 'one king' — Messiah David, i.e., Jesus Christ (v.22-24). This has never fully occurred: Jewish populations today are largely from Judah (hence 'Jews') with the northern tribes largely scattered. The complete fulfillment — all twelve tribes reunited, under Messiah's rule, in their land — is a Millennial reality. This prophecy is a reminder that God's program for Israel is precise and comprehensive — not a tribe is lost from His accounting.
Application: Read Ezekiel 37:15-28. Notice what accompanies the national reunification: one king (v.22 — Messiah), one nation (v.22), one land (v.25), God's sanctuary among them forever (v.26-27), and 'I will be their God, and they shall be my people' (v.27). This is the New Covenant (Jer 31) applied to Israel nationally. What does this comprehensive promise tell you about how literally God intends to fulfill His Word? How does it affect your confidence in His promises to you?

Prayer: God of all Israel — north and south, scattered and remaining — You have not forgotten a tribe or a soul. You will reunite what sin divided. Help us to trust Your precision in all Your promises as fully as we trust it in Israel's prophetic program. Amen.
