Post #80: Jerusalem in the Kingdom Age | KJV Right Division (Week 3)
Post 80 · The Millennial Kingdom – Christ's Literal Reign (Rev 20:4-6)
"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them... and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years... Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years." — Revelation 20:4,6 (KJV)
Dispensation: Future Kingdom — the Millennium is a literal, earthly, 1,000-year reign of Christ following the Tribulation.
Key: A thousand years appears SIX TIMES in Revelation 20 — this is not symbolic; it is a specific, literal duration for a literal kingdom on literal earth.
Revelation 20:1-6 describes what follows Christ's return at the end of the Tribulation: Satan is bound for 1,000 years (v.2-3), the first resurrection occurs (believers from all ages are raised — v.4-5), and Christ reigns on earth for 1,000 years. The number 'thousand years' appears six times in six verses — the repetition is emphatic, not incidental. The Millennium is the fulfillment of every Old Testament Kingdom promise: Israel restored in her land, nations streaming to Jerusalem, the creation restored, universal justice and peace under the reign of the righteous King. The Body of Christ reigns WITH Christ (2 Tim 2:12; Rev 2:26-27), serving in positions of authority in the Kingdom. This is not heaven — it is renewed earth under Messiah's rule.
