Post #84: Week 3 Review – Israel's Program Clear | KJV Right Division (Week 3)
Post 84 · Week 3 Review – Israel, Law, Kingdom Established
"And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." — Genesis 12:3 (KJV)
Dispensation: Grace Age → Future Kingdom — you now understand Israel's past (election, Law, rejection) and future (restoration, Kingdom, eternal blessing).
Key: Israel's covenants (Abrahamic, Mosaic, Davidic, New) are all still in force; the Law has been fulfilled in Christ; the Kingdom awaits Messiah's return.
Week 3 has established the foundations of Israel's program: the unconditional Abrahamic Covenant (land, seed, blessing), the Mosaic Law given exclusively to Israel for a limited time, the Davidic Covenant of an eternal throne, and the New Covenant of heart-law and Spirit. We have seen that the Law diagnoses sin without curing it, that Christ fulfills and terminates the Law as the righteousness system, and that Israel's rejection of the King opened the parenthesis of the Grace Age. We have traced the prophets' sure predictions of Israel's restoration and the Kingdom's coming. All of this gives us the backdrop against which the Church Age's mystery stands out in its uniqueness — and gives us confidence that God's Word, in every detail, will come to pass.
