Reconciled to God – 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 | KJV Right Division

Week 1 · Day 7-3 · 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV

“God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”

— 2 Corinthians 5:19 KJV

Not imputing their trespasses unto them. God is not counting sins against the world — that account was settled at the cross. Christ bore every sin. The sin question has been answered. The only question remaining is whether a person will receive the reconciliation God has already accomplished.

✂ Right Division

The ministry of reconciliation — verse 18 — is now ours. We are ambassadors of Christ — verse 20 — pleading with the world: be ye reconciled to God. Not earn your way but be reconciled. The work is done. Receive it.

✦ Application

You are God's ambassador. Your message is reconciliation — free, full, finished in Christ. Share it with someone today. You carry the most important message in the world.

1 Matthew 13:10–11 KJV And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. 2 John 14:29 KJV And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. 3 Isaiah 46:9–10 KJV Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there...

Dead to the Law – Married to the Risen Christ | Romans 7:4 KJV

Week 2 · Day 12-1 · 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV “Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead.” — Romans 7:4 KJV Death breaks the Law's hold. A widow is freed from the law of her husband by his death. Paul applies the same principle: we died with Christ — Galatians 2:20 — and that death severed our legal relationship to the Law. We are no longer married to the Law. We are married to the risen Christ. ✂ Right Division The purpose of this new marriage: that we should bring forth fruit unto God. Not the fruit of legal compliance under threat of condemnation, but the fruit of a loving relationship with the risen Christ. The Spirit produces this fruit naturally — Galatians 5:22-23. ✦ Application You are not married to the Law. You are united to the risen Christ. Let that relationship produce fruit in your life — naturally, freely, joyfu...
