“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

This week we laid the foundation. Rightly dividing clarifies who God is speaking to, when, and under which covenant. We distinguished Kingdom from Grace, Peter from Paul, Law from Grace, and Israel from the Church. The result: clarity where confusion once reigned.

You now know who you are — a member of the Body of Christ, sealed by the Spirit, seated in heavenly places, complete in Him, reconciled to God, an ambassador of grace. This is your identity in the age of grace. No confusion required.

✦ Application

Take one principle from Week 1 and share it with someone this week. The truth of rightly dividing sets people free. Be a faithful workman — approved, unashamed, accurate.

A widow is freed from the law of her husband by his death. Paul applies the same principle: we died with Christ — Galatians 2:20 — and that death severed our legal relationship to the Law.
