That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

이것은 그들이 다 하나가 되게 하려 함이니이다. 아버지께서 내 안에, 내가 아버지 안에 있는 것 같이 그들도 우리 안에서 하나가 되게 하려 하심이니이다. 이것은 세상이 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것을 믿게 하려 함이니이다.


The Lord Jesus prayed for a unity that bears witness to the world. This unity is not shallow agreement, but life joined to the Father and the Son.


✂ Right Division


John 17 belongs to Christ's earthly ministry before the cross, yet it reveals the Father's purpose in the Son: believers brought into divine fellowship and testimony. Today, the Body of Christ has a distinct heavenly calling, but unity still rests in Christ, not in human organization.


✦ Application


Seek unity where God places it: in truth, in Christ, and in the life He gives. The world does not need religious noise. It needs the witness of people made one in Him.
